Back from the Field with Fresh Artist Management Insights
If I have been off the radar for a bit, it is simply because this summer flew by at absolute breakneck speed. Between deep-dive industry projects and non-stop operational work, the past few months were an intense, fast-paced blend of live execution and hands-on management.
A Summer in the Trenches
Much of my focus this past summer was tied directly to active artist management work. The summer went by navigating release cycles, booking festival slots, and making attempts to reach additional sync placements, but also making intriguing industrial arrangements with artists like Misha, Muscular, Hanna-Maaria Tuomela, and Bobby 2Smiley.
Of course, we also made our annual trip to Ruisrock—a tradition we hit every single year. All in all, we succeeded in building real momentum for the upcoming autumn, and it is going to be very interesting to see where all these threads lead.
Thankfully, it was not all work. Yesterday we just got back from Cavtat, Croatia, where Hotel Castelletto took great care of us, as always. Taking a step back and disconnecting in such a great spot offered the exact reset needed to recharge before diving into the busy season ahead.
Upgrading the Framework: Lectures and the Spark for a Book
As we transition into autumn, a large part of my schedule is dedicated to brushing up and updating my educational materials, workshops, and upcoming lecture series. Returning to these core topics is always energizing, especially right after a heavy summer of live execution in the field.
Updating these materials—combined with vivid memories of my guest lecture in Louisiana—triggered a major spark. It launched a creative process that has been brewing behind the scenes for quite some time: outlining and structuring a comprehensive book on modern artist management.
The music industry’s center of gravity has shifted fundamentally. Today, successful artist management is less about administrative middleman work or striking traditional deals to grab quick headlines. It has transformed into strategic storytelling, reading parallel physical and digital environments, and plugging an artist’s creative vision directly into modern global monetization mechanisms. As I quietly shape the framework for this book, these core principles are driving both my writing and my teaching.
How We Can Work Together This Autumn
With the new season officially underway, my focus remains split between high-level advisory work and direct operational support. Here is how we can collaborate and elevate your operations this autumn:
Private Mentorship & 1-on-1 Coaching: I am officially accepting private students once again for custom 1-on-1 sessions. Whether you are an ambitious manager, a self-managed independent artist, or an industry professional looking to sharpen your skill set, we can dive deep into real-world artist management strategies tailored directly to your specific goals and career stage.
Contract Reviews & Bespoke Drafting: Never enter an industry deal without total clarity. You can bring your existing contracts to be thoroughly checked and reviewed here. Furthermore, if you need bespoke legal agreements drafted from scratch—whether for management representation, publishing, live performance, or production partnerships—I can handle those for you to ensure your business backend is bulletproof.
Online Presence Optimization (OPO): During the previous season, I built and deployed several customized Online Presence Optimization frameworks for artists and brands. In an era driven by algorithmic discovery, content architecture, and secondary audience effects, having your digital ecosystem properly wired is critical for long-term growth and sustainability.
Whether you are gearing up for a major release, restructuring your business operations, or looking to master the realities of modern artist management, let us connect and make this autumn count. Feel free to get in touch today to book a private lesson, request a contract review, or discuss your upcoming projects.
